How we love to see our Challenge for a Healthier Louisiana grant partners highlighted in the local media! Recently, New Orleans’ own, Travers Mackel with WDSU, sat down with our own, Mat Schwarzman, to talk about the New Orleans Kids Partnership and the $900,000 BCBSLA Foundation grant project Mat is leading, Generation K. Generation K is made up of 40 nonprofit organizations working together to create two community hubs. At each hub, staffers and volunteers will engage New Orleans kids in physical activities and provide after school programs, many focused on nutritional education.
