After joining his high school’s Key Club, John Lombardo learned a lifelong joy in volunteering and serving the needs of Louisiana’s children. After graduating to a full member of the Kiwanis Club of Thibodaux, John has quickly established a record of extraordinary service – as a volunteer and as a member of the United States Army National Guard.

Among many other projects, John has given hundreds of hours as a volunteer advocate for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Lafourche, where he works with children in need to make sure they are placed in loving homes.

Describing himself as a lifelong Kiwanian, John is a youth advisor to the Thibodaux Elementary School K-Kids Club, the St. Joseph Elementary School Builders Club (which he helped charter), the E.D. White Catholic High School Key Club and the Nicholls State University Circle K.

John’s motivations are simply stated: “I grew up with a family that made service a priority. I want to make a difference for other people because I hope that one day, if I’m in trouble, someone will make a difference for me.”
